The breaking point: 10 PM, a Tuesday night in the lab:

Picture the scene. We're in the thick of our higher education. Friends since day one of university, we've reached the peak: seven years of post-secondary study, our heads buried in chemical formulas, theses, and test tubes. We loved hair science, but our daily lives didn't exactly resemble a commercial.

Between the mental load, work, and our fast-paced lives, one question kept coming back every morning in front of the mirror: "How can I have immaculate hair and vibrant color without spending the whole weekend on it?"

That's when it clicked. We looked at each other and made the craziest decision of our lives: to leave the comfort of a pre-determined future to simplify everyday life. Everyone told us we were crazy, but we had a bigger mission.
